Possible bug in latest patch

Can't develop all the resource asteroids at many planets

Folks,

Since installing the latest patch, I have notice a bug in Entrenchment: I can't always develop all of the resource asteroids at a give planet that I control (NOTE: NOT uncolonizable field, but a planet!).  The map will show (say) two resources, but it will only let me put a refinery on one of them.  When I hover the cursor over the other asteroid, it shows a strength of 2500/2500 but it isnt' owned by anyone.  I can't fire on it either as my fleet does not recognize it as an enemy.  In the solar map, those asteroids show up in grey, just like an undeveloped asteroid.

Has anyone else seen this?  I have played this game houndreds of hours and never saw this behavior until I installed the latest patch last week.

I have also had a few instances where my cash/metal/crystal has all jumped (either up or down) by a very significant amount.  Not on any kind of period that I can detect, but just randomly my stockpile changes very drematically and unexpectedly.  As far as I can tell, these were NOT the result of completing a mission unless they have REALLY increased the payouts on missions.

Anyway, any help getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using the Akkan to colonize these planets?  If so, this is a known issue.  The Akkan is supposed to create a free extractor for you when it colonizes the planet, but sometimes it bugs up and creates a "neutral" extractor that cannot be removed and isn't owned by anyone.  This will be fixed in a mini-patch some time next week.

If those extractors appeared after colonizing with an Akkan, then it's a known bug that will be fixed when they release a hot fix shortly. I haven't heard anything about stockpile changes, do you have any numbers (or at least an estimate)?

I have also noticed what i think is a bug?

I was playing as TEC and sometimes the Orgiv (the starbase attacking craft) attacks the strike craft hanger (prioritises it) if it is closer than the starbase (i think thats what causes it) when both are in the same gravity well. I think this is a bug?

I saw the money/recourse thing a couple of times.  In one case, it was about 50% of what I had of each item added to it, around 6k credits / 4k metal and 2k crystal.  I just happened to be looking at my resourse levels when it jumped, so that's the only reason I remember the numbers.  A couple of other times, things jumped up a couple thousand creds and a thousand or so metal and crystal.  In that case, I was waiting to get enough resources to build a hanger when all of a sudden I had the resources to build several of them at once.

And yes, it was the Akkan.  I'm glad it is something they know about and are working on!

Don't the TEC have some ability to earn a certain percentage of all resources that are traded in the black market?  Something could be buggy with that...try to duplicate the bug and post your results.

End of Benjist's quote

im pretty sure the ogrov just attacks the nearest structure, starbase or otherwise. i'd recommend telling them to fire on the starbase when the jump in.
