is there a way to speed ships up ?

hi guys, i was wondering how i would go about making some ships speed a lil faster?

Did you press + on your screen?

Otherwise, you need to convert all of the files and then alter all of the files yourself, which is hell...

If you want to change all of files, go into each of the files and find the lines that say something like, MaxlInearspeed or the maxacceleration

or other way, is to change the mass of the ship (which will alter physics though)

yea acually , its a mod and it dosint have the + or- for game speed its the freespace mod great mod but the ships are so slow thats what i wanted to speed up. so i have to go into each file ?

you could edit the gameplay.constants file in the gameinfo folder of the mod

the lines you would edit are under shipSpeedPhysicsData which are looked at when you select the game option of ship speed

this way you could increase the speed of all ships by 3 or 4 on fast ship speed without having to edit every ship entity file.
