I suppose everyone has seen the trailer for the new Harry Potter movie coming out tomorrow, well... today, but watching it for the first time last night gave me some interesting ideas for the story/roleplay which i have in DS. It would extend the story arc i am working on now, and turn it in another direction altogether, but could, i think be very interesting and worth the effort. I would like to talk it over with the players and ask what they think and if they think it would effect the RP.

It doesn't in a direct way, but in an indirect way it is fairly brutal, but i think it could make for an interesting change, of course as long as the other players feel it is worth considering.

I have written up a very rough arc of points that will need to be filled in with story and details, and will pm UE_Carbon, Draak, Stant, Ryat, Bison, mdman and Alpha and SivCorp to get some feeling of what they think. If i have overlooked anyone, please pm or pop a post and i will answer.

I didn't want to say too much here, and it may not be something the players want, so it may all be just a strange idea that never goes anywhere, but i thought i would like to give a try at writing it, if anyone is game.

Side-Note: And the only real Americans seems to be the white ones: since everyone else sounds like some half breed, either African American, indian american, chinese american etc etc...so I'd say the efforts made to make the name calling Politically correct still ends up as passive/aggressive 'name calling'

And another thought: white people couldn't be classified as a lump in America. When the Italians came in, they were the hated minority. When the Irish came in, they were the hated minority. When the Jews (largely German in this case) came in, they were the hated minority. Compared to African, Asian, and whateverthefuck-Americans, they look an awful lot alike. So much for us all looking the same.

Not only that, but calling fair skinned ones Caucasian is lame because Caucasions have dark colored skin.

anyway, yes, modern Caucasians are dark, but white people migrated out of that area and so many groups have moved through there since that it's impossible to say that any concept of regional purity exists any longer. Of course, Indians (from India) are partially Caucasian, but people are usually ill-informed on what the term even means.

it never existed in the first place from a scientific standpoint. there are very few places where there was no migration.
