Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Heck ryat, I'm Aussie and I get it, but for the sake of avoiding sedition charges let's just say that the state you described is purely theoretical Anyway I don't think you could phase jump from one galaxy to another, I just think the distance is too large, not enough anti-matter to make it. Also there are like a 100 million something stars in this galaxy so I think the varsari just come from another part of the milky-way.
End of mdman1's quote

Wasn't argue one way or another. Was just pointing out a hypothetical. But yeah, as Stant123 said, anti-matter doesn't play a role in phase jump. After all not all ships have anti-matter on them. As for distance, well that's why the damn things takes sooooo long to build and sooo much time to set up and use. It was designed to cross that distance.

First, I understood the anti-matter system from the start. Kinda surprised so many mention having missed it.

Second, I know Sins compresses time to near nothing, but reality would say that ships take a hell of a long time to make and jumping from one system to another would be a minor inconvenience, but not altogether a short trip. That's assuming jump times compared to construction times sync up properly. So, if we assume that people can move around and age in a ship that is phased, we can also assume that an inter-galactic jump would take a big chunk out of your life. Now I know that the Vasari are moving generations around, but it seems impractical to jump such a long distance before giving every other star in your galaxy a fair shot. The lore describes them as coming from near the galactic core. They don't say which galaxy, but that in itself implies one which we would automatically imagine, ours.

Despite all that... I still think the biggest lore issue is actually deciding what the thing attacking the Vasari is, given that it's up to the devs, not us. I did just go through the lore and it does say that they made a single error and I can't help but wonder about the original game intro where they activate something that releases a lot of energy, as if maybe an energy core or phase device. So it's likely something they unleashed, but that's still pretty broad.

The whole fact that phase jumping doesnt take antimatter but you lose it when you jump just means for me that before I leave a grav-wellwill use all my anti matter :P

lol joke?

I think, though the ending got a little too scrambled for me to discern.

there?

Oh yeah, I was wondering why ships with no anti-matter can jump. Anyway, I agree with Draak, phase jumping to another galaxy would take too long for the normal human lifespan.

So how long is a Vasari's life span? And what is to say that their capital ships, like the Jarrasual, aren't also doubled for generational ships. I believe the Jarrasual is stated to be such a ship.

@ Altaux- yes, thank, much better

they live for around 75 minutes, by that time I have already won the game by killing them off...

I want to weigh in on that one myself, since they use nanites to augment themselves, I assume they could live up to 170 to 250 of our years. Even though I have yet to reference it in lore post, but I have thought about it though.....Bison...

Again, the lore references the galactic core, by which I think they mean ours.
