Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

So Ive so far have spent the last 3 days combating flying termites. Ive committed genocide on some unfathomable scale.

Im sure Ive at least vacuumed up 500+ thousands so far.....but they dont stop coming. Its like a real life version of Alien Swarm or Left for Dead.

Oh, landlords seem to take it will go away soon if you wait it out approach. Not like this is the first time this has happend...>:(

 

Time to pack our shit up and get out of Dodge.

Cicadas, you are in the middle of one of the 10 to 13 year brood that come out of the ground by the millions, in Middle Tenn they came out when i was in High School in 87 and they came out in 97 when i was going on my fourth year at Greyhound. During the day, the noise they produce is beyond tolerable, but they will die off after a month eating and mating. It's like Spring Break for them after sleeping for 10 to 13 years. Other than nuisance and noise, they don't bite humans unless they think you are a plant or tree and try to get sap out of you.

We get those every year. If you mistake them for termites, I'll have to kick you around, Carbon. And to see so many of them, even in a brood year? I doubt it. Funny thing is that if you actually have termites, the landlord should worry for his investment. Granted, I've known a few that don't care much.

sorry draakjacket but no tesbs today, will have to activate the termite defence methods ie bait timber with high potency termite poison in it, metal sheets (soldered to airtight and where out of reach of kids and pets also with contact termite poison)completely surrounding all plastic and timber that is wanted and using metal flyscreens instead of plastic/fiberglass.
