It's tempting but the ship is problematic.  A scout ship with no phase jump?  It would be really fast inside a gravity well but it would have to be much slower doing interplanetary/interstellar travel than the rest of the ships in the game with phase drives for it to make sense.

ithe destany does to have a FTL drive

in after thought, its more like a phase drive....

its only a little over 100,000 years old and also is more than 50 trillion lightyears away from earth which is where it came from!

over 250,000 years old (not sure on age atm) and about 50 billion light years... lol that's what was said in the first eps now...

Hah.  I think in the last episode they said something like half a million or a million years old.  I wonder if they will eventually make up their mind on it's age before the series goes on much longer.  I am pretty sure that Destiny has to be millions of years old though... The first episode of Stargate Atlantis shows Atlantis leaving Earth for the Pegasus galaxy with the caption "Several million years ago".  Destiny has to be older than Atlantis, given how much more advanced Atlantis is than Destiny; assuming the show's timeline is supposed to make any sense at all that is.

You're right, it does have an FTL and I just assumed it would be around the speed of light travel but I suppose it could be faster than that.  Hyperdrives are much, much faster than the speed of light though if I remember the show mythology correctly.  Either way, I assumed that the Destiny's FTL was not nearly as fast as the hyperdrives in other ships.  The Deadalus makes the trip from Earth to Pegasus galaxy in a few weeks if I recall.  Granted Destiny has stopped at a lot of galaxies but for the age of it I would have to think that it does take a lot longer to get from one galaxy to another.

Edit:  Wow... did I just sound like a massive geek prattling on about this :p

Yes... you did... but don't feel left out! we are all geeks here XD And you are right, FTL is basicaly faster then light... it could be another term for hyperdrive. Even if the Destiny is older then Atlantis, it's the Anicents we are talking about, the Super powerful race that seeded life in the milkyway in the Stargate series, any of their technology that ACTUALLY worked of course is extremely powerful

Yeah.  What I was getting at though is that hyperdrives must have come later in the Ancient's technological development and it makes sense that they are therefore superior.  Hyperdrives drop the ship into subspace, whereas Destiny's FTL remains in normal space instead.  I'm guessing here, but I would assume the reason to drop into subspace for travel is because it is easier to acheive x10, x20, x50 times the speed of light or whatever there (and/or requires less power) than it is in normal space.

I guess that's what I was getting at when I first replied about not having a phase drive being problematic in the context of the game and for consistency purposes.  There is no reason why someone couldn't make the model for Sins and add it though.

Another thing is that the Destiny is massive.  From what i can tell from the show so far, is that it is at least the size of the Aurora class Battleships if not larger...and i would have to say larger...

I  have to agree on that part that it is a massive ship
