Invasion, need some help, ideas!

Hi everyone! Ive been working on a mod for very long time now and got to a problem i cant solve! >:( So i want to invade a planet, the BOMB THE CRAP OUT AND RECOLONIZE just doesnt feel good. I tried adding culture spread or something to assaultships, but i cant find an ability of it! So i used the Advent deliverence abilty, but the problem is that it doesnt finish the job: lowers the enemy's allegience, but the planet doesnt rebel! Is there a any other ability or something that does the job?

If anyone could help would be appreciated!

Planet goes neutral once allegiance hits 0, but you can't flip it. You'll have to colonize it.

What I would do, is make an ability that bombs the planet. (exept have landing craft instead of bombs) and then the ability colinizes the planet when done.

It is actully the same exact thing, you just now can colonize AND bomb in the same ability!

Essentially the simple way of doing invasions is what EvilTesla suggested, just a damaging ability that instantly colonizes the planet once it turns neutral.

Of course, if you wanted to go the extra mile, you could do my original idea which was to have built in to the same ability a way of reinforcing planets. Ie you let the ability target friendly, neutral and enemy planets, and have it heal friendly planets, conquer neutral planets, and damage enemy planets, this way you can use your own invasion ships to help defend a friendly planet that is being invaded.

Thanks! So if im getting this right theres no way of conquering a planet without damaging it, so ill just work on the ability and add the pods to it, so it looks a bit NOT NUKE!

Well, technically you can just use "ChangePlayerIndexToFirstSpawner" to conquer the planet instantly. the main issue with that is deciding on and making the trigger mechanism, ie What do you want to have to happen Before the planet changes sides? because having an ability that just instantly conquers a planet seems....silly.

And because planets don't really have many attributes you can work with, making it simply be a damage ability is the most sensible route.

If you want something that is rather... instantaneous, then you can mod the domination ability, make it work for capitals, frigates, planetmodules and planets.  :)  It converts!!  i havent looked at the buff for this for awhile, but it may be possible to delay the change over by a time period? Say the delay? But you will have to look if you want the take over to take some more time rather than instantly.

But it works very very well.

And it doesnt kill anything.

About that ill look into it! I used the domination on ships, it works fine with delay, but ill have to try on planets too. But the thing is that if i dont give the other races an ability like this they wont have any planets after a while, ex: delay would be like 120(sec), after that the planet is yours! Now what will the Vasari do, they will have to bring in a lot of siege ships and bomb the planet, which will take time, and so on. But ill figure something out, and i was wondering if you can add more buffs to the ability, like make damage to planet while you conquer it?   *_* Now that would be just cool, and then ill just to add the ab to the other races too.
