Recording new voices... I have a problem

Hello everyone.

I have a problem with the sound. I'm a Spanish player and I want to record voices on my language to replace the original audio files.
All works fine: I recorded the voice, I saved the file in .ogg format and I replace this file with the original English file. The new voice is heard in Spanish on the game perfectly, but is only reproduced by a speaker. The original audio files are reproduced by the two speakers, naturally. The problem is not my speaker. Indeed, the Spanish audio files are heard from both speakers when I play the spanish audio files with SoundForge or Adobe Audition.
I know that this mod may look like a silly, but we are many Spanish we play this great game. Therefore, we would enjoy in our language.
Thanks for your patience and kindness.

Hmm.....that is VERY strange.

I have made a music mod. And my current Pirate mod uses some voice acting, but it normally comes out fine....You MIGHT want to try a differnt recording program, or a differnt conversion program.

Also, message me if your interested in this. How good of a voice actor are you? I could certenly use a Pirate ship with a spanish accent. Message me if your intersetd

Try saving the file as mono?

I record the voices with the Windows Sound Recorder. Then I add some effects on my voices with SoundForge and Adobe Audition. However, the problem is not these programs. My original voices (without effect) also are heard mono within the game.

Perhaps the problem is the Windows Sound Recorder. What other program to record voices you suggest me?

Thank you very much for your time. You are very kind.

Your .ogg voice sound file needs to be mono not stereo. If it is saved in stereo format you will only hear it in game from one speaker. If your looking for a different program you can use Audacity it's free and you can find effects plug ins for it. Just an idea but you could try and run your files through a sound converter and set it as a mono .ogg output.

I have links to both Audacity and a very good free converter at my web site on the Sins Extra's page.
