Multiplayer?

Hi I've had this game for a while and have played alot of games with ai. I jsut got entrenchment today and would like a try at multiplayer. I made an iron account. what's next? i'm kindda confused adding players? so do i have to go out and look for the players i want to play with? would it be rather unfair since some players ahve more multiplayer experience then others. anyways hope to hear from someone soon.

The "player" you are adding is yourself!  Type in your online nickname (doesn't need to be your account name) and this will create a "player" for you to play as online.  Each "player" you create will accumulate stats (wins and losses) independently.  Once you create a player, you can enter the lobby and check for games.

The busiest time is evening time(5pm-11pm EST) in the US.  It is fairly dead any other time in my experience.

Unfortunately, this game doesn't have nearly the number of people playing it in online multiplayer that it deserves, so sometimes it can be hard to find a game.  Your best bet is to play between 2 pm and 10 pm U.S. Eastern Standard Time.  If you tried it between 2:30 and 5:30 am U.S. EST, then you would have seen few people online; it's pretty dead at that time (sucks if you live in Australia).

You made that post about two and a half hours after I made mine.  When I made my earliest post, things were wrapping up for the evening and very few people were online.  You'll need to come much earlier if you want to find a game.  As Greyfox mentioned, if it's after midnight EST you won't find too many players around.  After midnight PST, your chances of finding a game on a weekday are slim.

I have a problem, i tryed opening an account online but it tells me i have the wrong version of the game. any help would be great

What version does it say you have (bottom right corner)?

I think the most recent versions are v1.18 for regular Sins and v1.041 for Entrenchment.  You cannot log onto Ironclad Online without the most recent version.

If you haven't already done so, you need to download and install Impulse, which is Stardock's version of Steam and its form of DRM.  You have to register your CD key with it and then it will patch the game to the most recent version for you.  You should then be able to get onto ICO.
