how to install mods

I have downloaded the distant stars mod, read the readme but i dont have the correct filepath, i have tried extracting to the sins folder and the entrenchment folder but i cant get it to appear in the game. 

has anyone else had this problem? and how did you solve it?

 

i have also tried advide about changing folder options so you can view hidden folders, but unfortunatly i cant find folder options in either the tool menu or control panel

Go to this folder C:\users\**your_username**\local\AppDate\ironcladgames\sins of a solar empire\mods-entrenchment v1.041 or there C:\Documents and Settings\**YOUR_USERNAME**\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-entrenchment v1.041, depending on you computer.

copy the distant stars folder there, launch entrenchment, go to options, mod, select distants star mods, click to unable then on apply, the game would freeze for a little moment (don't panic, it is normal, the game is loading the new files) and then it's done. Enjoy !

the folder options is under the start menu/control panel/folder options

hope this helps and enjoy our lovely mod (ps the powerful pirates extra is a little gimped right now, we will be releasing a fix for it soon)
