Help picking a mod?

So, i got this game maybe a month ago, playing offline (thinking about going online soon!)

but DO spend 1 week every 3 weeks at my gfs college, and when there, i play single player only game.. and im looking for a good mod or 2 to enhance single players (variety, depth, uniqueness, ai)


Any tips?

ManSh00ter's Volumetric Explosions mod. You haven't seen a starbase explode until you've played his mod.

Maybe not for a single month newbie... the AI work very good in your mod... and it make the game really difficult from the first minute of play... a real pleasure for player with experience but who can be hell for a newbie...

In fact, you have a lot of good mod... need to see what universe you like : Star Trek, BSG, Stargate, B5, Starwar, etc ...

For non-TC mods, probably ManSh00ter's stuff or Distant Stars/Mad Scientist, for TC mods probably SoA2.
