wrong version of ironclad?

whenever I click on the ironclad online link and try to log on to the server or create a new account a pop up appears saying "wrong version of ironclad detected" I have no Idea what this means and i know that Im typing the sticker code in correctly. can someone help me with my problem?

I desperatley need help (in many ways:P   !!!)

Is your version of sins fully updated? You will need to download and install impulse to update sins.

Updating should defintely take care of it. Download and install Impulse and then sign in with the same account you signed in here with. Click the 'Updates' tab to get the update.

Just so you know, Impulse is Stardock's version of Steam and you'll need to register your game's CD-key in order to update it.  This is the only form of DRM the game has, which isn't at all bad.  Impulse is very benign and you don't need to run it in order to play the game--only for the occassional patch.  It's great that you want to come play the game in online multiplayer; it's really a great game.

thx i will try to download impulse. another offhand question would be, cna you upgrade your fleet capacity or do just have to take over more planets?

upgrading the fleet capacity is similar to researching a certain tech, so, as long as you can pay for it, you can always do it.

 

the only drawback is that it will permanently cut your income by a certain (rising) percentage and is not again "downgradable", so yes, in a certain way, you´ll have to take over more planets first to avoid an economic crisis ;)

For more fleet capacity, you need more research lab... for more research lab, you need to upgrade the logistic slot of your planet... but soon of later, you will need a other planet...

By the way, don't upgrade in the fleet panel if you don't need it... more you upgrade, more expensive it is for upkeep your fleet...

thnx for answering my fleet question, but im still having trouble with logining in to ironclad. I couldn't find a tab on impulse that says upgrade on it. Also When you start the program, and it pulls up the menu you click on the ironclad online tab and not the multiplayer tab right?

When you install Impulse and then launch it, it should prompt you to sign in with your account. This would be the same account you logged in here with. Once you get signed in, there should be an 'Updates' tab as seen below.

If you are not seeing this, click the blue button in the left corner and choose 'Change log-in' and re-enter your account info.
