Modding community?

so guys, Im relatively new to the game but I love it so far..

But as many others I now want some new challenges in form of mods, but!

It seems like all of the major mods isnt working with todays full patched system...

Isnt theese mods being updated? or is there a trick I dont know about? :P

I can see the mods in the list, but when trying to enabling them the game freezes

So is the modding community dead?

also, if anyone knows a great fansite for mods please let me know :o)

Edit: or if you happen to use an major mod that is worth trying and working with newest update, I'll be happe to

The latest patch pretty much destroyed most of the mods. Almost all of them had to be rebuilt from scratch.

This of course takes LOTS of time. If you read up on the major mod topics you would see that they are indeed being worked on. Being that you ARE new i will refrain from being snappy at you for being ignornant, and not bothering to read the posts on most mods telling of their status.

Why dont you try them all, and decide for yourself which one is "worth it"?

Being that this has caught my attention it is obvious the community isnt dead.

hmm, well thx for not beeing snappy.

But I quickly browsed around for the biggest mods, and yes they said it was under

development, but I just had hopes for some working cool mods to use together with some mates this weekend.

And its also very confusing to navigate around to the biggest mods (might be because im new)

so if there's a site somewhere who host the most popular ones that would be great.

And for the part try them all, well.. I could indeed, but since this game isnt a 40 minutes game

it would take ages to test out them all (well, maybe not since I only got 2 which works)

and as said Im looking for a mod for this weekend.

I have a mod links page at my web site and most of the major mods are listed there.

That's quite a useful list under the mod links. You should be able to find anything you'd possibly want to get started with  tjald, from graphics mods to new factions to insane tech trees.
