Freeze at Main Menu.

I just bought this game at Wal-mart today. It is the GOTY edition. I start the game and it freezes at the main menu. My computer is then unable to do absolutley anything but show me what a pretty "play button" this cool lookin game has. It also made a wierd tick noise when it froze. Like I tried putting a car into the wrong gear. I tried and tried. I uninstalled. Installed it againg. Still doesn't work.

Further more. when I try to run 'Impulse tray application' that was installed from the disk, it says Error: Application Path not Found.

I'm running;

XP PRO SP3

AMD DUAL 2.01GHZ

3.25G OF RAM

NVIDIA GFORCE 9800GTX+

P.S. This game looks really awesome. I just wanna play the darn thing.

Update**  I used Impulse to do an install check on sins. It said it was a bad install and that I should check for updates. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Still freezes on main menu. So I'm downloading the update from Impulse now.

The update should work, but otherwise you could have a faulty copy.  The same thing happened with me, and i ended up buying a new copy.  Hope u don't have to do that.

Did you reinstall from disc or from the internet via impulse?

If your disc is somehow having damaged files (bad mastering) or suffers mechanical damage, then forget it and simply install from the internet. You do not need that disc at all.

Impulse can install the game from internet much faster than an installation from DVD! The only thing I missed there was that I could not find a way to select the place where I want to install the game...
