The economics and diplomacy is turn-based. Which is lame, I admit. I can spend an hour making a decision, and the AI can't take advantage of it.
It's the battles and the time period I love.

Banned because I've finished the glass ceiling for my city in Minecraft. I'll post some pictures once I've excavated a few more layers.
Banned because any decent glass floors are perfectly safe to walk on, ergo any decent glass ceilings are probably safe to touch as well.

Banned because it took me the better part of a month to read through The Fountainhead. I finished Anthem in half an hour.
Banned because I live in a Tundra biome. No trees unless I walk about a half a kilometer east. No sand, either, unless I want to dig underneat the frozen ocean to the west of my house. 
On the plus side, making houses and buildings out of ice is really pretty...
