EVE Online is gifted with having some of the coolest friggin ships out of any game ever. I think that a total conversion mod that has the Amarr, Gallente, Caldari, and Minmatar as races would be absolutely awesome.

I personally believe that the potential for such a mod is enormous.
i think there is potential in several existing mods, unfortunately many are being developed by one or two people and could use the help instead of more ridiculous fragmentation of talent into mods that will never be released and have nothing to set them apart in gameplay or style except "these ships look really cool"
an "idea" for a mod is worth about as much as dirt. it would be neat to have a mod based on a variety of IPs but there are only so many people that are already struggling to get their mods out the door.
edit: also, model replacements are not a "total conversion", a "total conversion" would have significant changes in gameplay, and while I'm sure you could fashion quite a few out of how ships in EVE work, that would probably be duplication of how other mods with similar universes' systems work.
Bro weve been there before but CCP isnt letting us use their ships. There was a homeworld 2 mod with eve online mod but it never been release so i doubt this will go far. Ther are few other post about eve online mod but it since not much progress. Its a good idea it would be an awnsome mod but only when time allows it or when the Crowd Control Production Or (CCP) 
will allow it. Tiilll then we wait
