As a military officer, historically, mutiny, desertion, and other forms of rebellion during a time of war, if not always, result in summary execution when they're being nice. Summary exile is extremely polite, court martial is extremely polite.
Fascism is also authoritarian, and the Federation is run by an elected government subject to laws, and headed by a President in a manner that greatly resembles the United States from what little is made clear. Presidents change between movies, are not species restricted to humans, and have one clear cut example of an eight year service, mirroring the two consecutive four year term limitation in the US.
There are numerous examples of "fascism" in the video which have nothing to do with fascism, or socialism in general. Much of the fascism is just general socialism as well. It's nice that he noted fascism was a form of socialism though, the whitewashing on that one these days is just stupefying...
It is definitely a socialist society of some sort, but the degree of fascism is fairly low. Using things like Starfleet insignia on Starfleet officer's communicators as proof of fascism is hilariously hilarious.
