Target Priorities

What should be attacked first

It has been 20-40 minutes after the game started, and everyone has a fleet, each with slightly different units.

Let's pretend me and this one guy are fighting one on one. I have..oh..35 assailants or smthing, with 2 kisantra carriers ( or w.e the fuck they are) and like 6 transporters.

He has like 15 tec transporters, 15 LRMS, 20 scouts.

Now it seems that i would lose the battle right? Hes got mad fighters and scouts against my assailants. So what would i have to do to counter that? Should i escape and try to build up some counters? Should i slug it our nevertheless?

Then, are there like, guidelines on what a target should be? If we had a medium mix of units, not quite as bad as that, but it seemed even. Would i go for the SC carriers? His Cap ship? The LRMs? the Scouts? In any order?

Thanks for any feedback

Depends on his strategy. If he just lets his fighters engage in air combat with yours you'll be able to inflict some considerable damage with your assailants, maybe kill his cap etc. The Skirantras will help your strikecraft to survive a lot. But if he starts targeting your assailants with fighters I'd retreat and get a bunch of flaks, which would counter both the scouts and the fighters.

If he didn't have any capital ships or light frigates with him, you're probably wasting your time. Unless your Skinatras each have at least level 2 repair cloud, its probably better to fall back and build some flaks. If you're over one of your planets, stay near the repair bays and you should be fine. Just be ready to run if he brings reinforcements before your flak gets their.

Flaks counter both fighters and scouts.  Heavy cruisers counter both LRM's and scouts.

Skirantra is a great capital ship in this situation, it will keep your units alive with repair cloud.  Heck, since he doesn't have a capital ship you might even win that battle if you have high enough levels...

i'd stay in the well keep the air fight in the area of repair cloud since it repairs air too, target his lrms first while your air takes his air, and then take either his cap out or rush his carriers with the kranraks

just ignore the scoots, 20 aint gona do damage if you can use repair cloud wisely
