Was Santa Good to You?

So Christmas this year was pretty good for me. It was much better then what I thought it would be initially. Things are really tight here with money so I didn't expect too much. I certainly didn't expect anything expensive. Well, what I "expected" and what I got were two totally different things. The main thing I wanted for X-Mas I got early, it was Dragon Age: Origins. In-fact I told my wife and her parents not to worry about getting me anything else. The only other small thing I wanted was Dragonball: Raging Blast. I figured it was something small and not too expensive. My in-laws like to go "all out" around Christmas time. Last year they helped my wife and I build this PC which came to almost $2,200. I told them this year not to spend a lot of money on us because I know they are having a hard time of things just like everyone else is. I learned a couple days before X-Mas that they were getting us a new TV. When I figured out what they were getting us my wife lied to me and told me it wasn't that big and that her parents let her know what it was early. On X-Mas morning I got a big shock when we got to my in-laws. They got us a new TV alright, but there was nothing small about it.

It's a 40 inch Samsung LCD and it doubles as a PC monitor !!!!

It's freaking HUGE. Man I love it. I've got my Wii and my X-Box 360 hooked up to it. I haven't hooked my PC up to it yet because I'm lacking the proper converter cable, but I'll pick one of those up this week sometime. My Blu Ray player/burner is built in to my PC so that's what we watch most of our movies on. Now with the uber TV of hugeness we'll be watching and gaming in style on the BIG SCREEN.
