Sins Deplomacy Idea - Planet Rebellions.

I just had an amzaing thought, which could go into the game without adding too much stuff. How about Planet rebellions ouccuring, if the Rebel ships arent curshed within a set amount of time, the planet either goes to the enemy (if cultured) or a fraction is born within the game.

 

So for example, if the TEC player does not cursh the rebelion, his empire will start to split into two fractions, so for example, Amercia splitting and forming the United States of Amercia, away from british empire. So there colonial nations start to goven themselves, so a new fraction is born.

 

So if an AI starts to lose his planets becuase of this, from the empire name of for example ' cult of Spector', the planets which spilt from them could be called the 'united of Spector' etc.

 

So FFA's could last longer, and  bigger empires who have expanded into other systems need to be wary of this, becuase new fractions could rise within there own empire.

interesting. and have abilities on a sb to quell it on that planet or prevent loss from rebelion...

yes, or by using Diplomating ships to quell rebellions or force them back into your empire.

I would like to see rebellious planets become minor nations, and potentially engage in piracy, rather than waiting to be taken over by another empire.

Keep 'em happy with culture, or they blow your stuff up...
