Activating Mods

Ive just downloaded the distant stars 1.01 mod which is compatible with the original sins, I dont have any xpacks.  When I click "apply mod" on the menu for it the game freezes and on the desktop a window appeares saying "minidump saved" and when I click OK sins crashes.  Im sure I installed the mod right but it doesn't work, wht should I do?

The 1.01 version will not work with the most recent patch.

Its the only place you can buy it. Its only $9.99. Best $10 you ever spend on an expansion.

 

Or if you dont wanna buy it online you have to wait till after Diplomacy is relased and look for the Trinity retail box.
