Need to reinstall

I've had Windowblinds for a number of years.  I just purchased the upgrade for WB7 and installed it.  Howver I've noticved that I'm very low on space on my c drive and need to uninstall Window Blinds and reinstall it on a different partition.   But I'll need to have my original Window Blinds ( 4 or 5 I think) installed in order use the update, correct?  But I don't have that to install and I don't see it listed in Impulse.  Is there a way to get original file so I can reinstall it on the other partition?

Thanks

As long as you use Impulse to uninstall and reinstall you should be okay.

You do need to realize though once you move things around you will need to change things in the registry.  You probably should email [email protected] ant get instructions for the things you will need to change. :sun:

What I'd suggest is uninstalling WB7 through Impulse, restarting, then going to the blue menu at the top left in Impulse -> Preferences -> Folders and enable the option "Prompt for install directory." At that point, just go ahead and reinstall WindowBlinds 7 and it should give you the option to install to another directory.

When you move your install as you initially suggested, there may possibly be settings in the registry that would need to be moved and it could end up being more trouble than just performing an uninstall/reinstall.

Thanks for the responses. I uninstalled WB7 from Impulse and had to just make sure my WB5 was registered in Impulse and then the reinstall of the update worked fine.  Thanks again!

I tried to do this so that all the skins would install to my D drive, but they still went onto C, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?

I had to restore my computer and reinstall a bunch of stuff and through all that I thought I had reworked the save folder location but you're right.  It still saves on the c drive so it was pretty pointless.  Seems like there should be an option to save elsewhere doesn't it?
