How do you demand resources or credits?

I have researched the ability to offer/demand resources from another player. However, when I go to the diplomacy page and offer a mission to a player, the demand resource option does not appear. How do you demand credits or resources from another player?

They have to have researched the ability to give resources before you can tell them to give somebody resources.

I just found this out too.  I wonder if you can prevent them from asking YOU for money by not researching that tech...hmm.

Either way, I an not really a fan of their missions.  I generally play mellow turtling games and am not so good at "Kill 10 Tactical Structures in 10 Mins"...so, I let the mission time lapse and make up for it with Envoys and monitary lovin'.

I am pretty sure that they have researched the ability, because they have sent me several missions requesting that I give them resources. But when I go to give them a mission, that option does not appear.

i have the same problem, i can"t find that option in the mission system. mayby a bug of something?

AI doesn't have to research stuff in order to send missions so that the AI does actually send missions.

Occaisionally, after researching the tech that allows you to request donations... you wont see the option for quite a while. I'm pretty sure it's a bug of some sort, namely because sometimes the option will appear right after researching, and relationship with the target doesn't seem to matter on whether or not I can give the mission (just whether they reject it).

I have never had it not work with TEC (ie: not show up for a while). I have no experience with it with the Advent. With the Vasari... it seems to be entirely random whether or not the mission option kicks in immediately or at some other time. Belg, what race are you playing that has this problem?

I am playing always TEC. I watchted the replay and saw that the ai can issiue missions without research(offer mission). Also this demand for resources, as human player you can"t never offer this mission. Also is noticed by some people that ai players can"t give missions on another ai player

They get only diplomatic points through some strange bonus en occacional envoys.

 

They give only human players  missons and when you failed  they give you a penalty and your relationship drops.

We must wait for an upgrade so the things are fixed in the diplomatic system. At the moment it is unfair and unrealistic.

I think its a bug, I hope they fix it in the next patch, this was one of the features that I was really looking foward to.

After a few games i know for sure that the ai need that specefic technologie(giving resources or demand). You need also a good relation with that ai-player.

 

Also i noticed some other things.

 

1.The ai receives no penalty when they failed to do the mission i gave them.

2. the ai players sending no missions to other ai- players

3. they only goes up in DP with their diplomatic relation with a human player(bonus/envoys....etc)

4. ai players never reject missions for killing ships/planet etc...., only for resources.. Example "kill 20 ships in 5 minutes :grin: ). After this 5 minutes nothing happens..no penalty.

I have to play another few games to know these things are fore sure.
