2nd SP game of sins diplomacy.
Was bombing one opponents vulcano planet, since it was going very slowly with only lvl 10 progenitor, so I called for backup - lvl 4 Radiance
Problem: Between Main fleet and radiance was computers chokepoint, well, I thought since the capital ship won't need to go trough all the gravity well, what the heck.
End result:
Good one! I'm surprised it didn't explode when it came out of phase space.
AI opponents. If that had been a human, he'd be sending something after it to finish the job. As I've said before: you're not out till you reach a repair bay.
i also had an equally lucky moment. after a crushing defeat in one battle in which i tried to save one of my planets, i tried to savalge what was left of the battle against an advent fleet with 3 Revelation class ships, about 15 cobalts and a level 8 Kol capital ship.
8 of my 15 cobalts made it out safetly (the rest got slaughtered in the powering up phase). but my kol, which still had 2/3 health left, kept getting some sort of spiky beam around it and it couldnt movee, probably got stopped by the revelation class ships) r. so by the time it finally got out of the danger area, it only had 42 health left.
it lived to fight another day... only to get whipped again.
