Hmm... Before we start, I'd like to point out that dreams are the noticable affect of brain activity while you sleep. Anything that occurs in a dream is something from you.

If all this is the case, I'd say that the minimum this says about you is a) that you like Mishayla (Captain Obvious strikes again), b) that you want to join the army, and c) that you want to become a politician.

If I were to analyse to the extreme, I would say that you believe you can't achieve "b" without losing "a" or "c".

However, there is nothing stopping you having a wife while you're in the army. There is also nothing stopping you becoming a politician once you leave.

But ultimately, we usually don't pick our paths. For all we know, the sun could randomly explode tomorrow and kill us all, so enjoy today, and don't plan too far into the future. I mean, do know what you want to do in life, but don't beat yourself up over things which you have no control over for the time being.

Only 1 reply in almost 3 hours? Shame..

hm, I gathered from the dream that

1. There are things in my life that endanger my chances w/ Mishayla

2. My time with or without her is a major factor in the overall path I walk: Standing alone or leading the crowd

3. I hate my past

4. Certain goals of mine aren't compatiable w/ the ohters; I have to give up on one to achieve the other.

5. There's a part of me that wants nothing else but to be alone and be recognized by others as something great, something more, something extraodinary, and then there's another part that craves the company of a select few, and wants to do something to positively benefit the world before I go.

Furthermore: I'm aware of what dreams are, thank you (I am taking a Psychology Class), and I think that dreams are the most powerful forms of thought, the subconscious gathering real life experiences and imaginary objects; each of them having symbolisim to the dreamer, and then predicting the future, based on past experiences and current knowledge.

Xer07's dream:

WHOA :omg: Are you SURE you didnt imagine all this? Because it is quite clear you have a great imagination, and a movie-like ability to demonstrate simple things.

Anyway, if it is a dream, like you said, I dont need to tell you what it means. It is very clear.

Btw, there arent just 2 paths available for you. There are much more available and accessible by you. You just cant see them. But you cant think of ANY other person than Mishayla, whom you can have a good life with? :|

I mean, that girl could be faceless, unknown to you, but she can be someone else other than your crush to spend the rest of your life with, and have a family.

If not, if you cant imagine being with someone else other than her, then you can consider this proof that you are deeply in love with her, my friend. Not that there isnt enough proof of it already, but w/e.

You forgot to say that each and every weird/imaginary thing we dream, has a different meaning for each person.

For example: I might dream that I am flying like superman, that would symbolize freedom for me, and that suddenly I get attacked and eaten by a huge tomato. The tomato might mean something specific for me, and something completely different for someone else.  (Just an example, I never had that dream, but you get the point)

You know, silly stuff like that, dont you even had ridiculous/weird dreams like that? :P

But overall, Xer07 I feel the need to tell you, that you are waaaay too serious and mature for your age. Dont go ahead of your self. Dont try to plan your life as far ahead into the future up to the day you die.

Planning 5 years ahead = ok. Planning 10 years ahead = fine. Planning 15+ years ahead = extreme :S

I am saying this to you, because you are KINDA doing that. Well sort of. Subconsciously maybe. And planning so far ahead, means that probably none of that is gonna happen for you. Because there are so many choices, possibilities, and random variables in life that you cant control, that can completely throw you off course, and bring you to a whole new different path you had never seen.

Which brings me back to the "you are way too serious for your age". Relax, take a break from all these "heavy" things, enjoy the small things in life, have some fun, and let the future be the future, not the present.

Trust me, you WILL have plenty of time to think stuff like that, 5 years from now. Hell, you will HAVE to think of stuff like that whether you like it or not, sometime in the future. Be it either a few years from now, or maybe 10 years, you will have to consider this whole "where am I going" and "what path do I choose" kind of thing.

Anyway, I hope I didnt bore you to death, I had a few more things to say, but I tried to keep it "short", well as short I as possible ^_^'

That would be all.

End of quote

Yeah, I was just specifying that I wasn't one of the people who thinks dreams are divine inspiration, and actually believe that it's something from you.

Anyway, I recently found myself thinking about "what will I do once I leave the army?" Then I stopped myself and realised a) that's a few years from even when I join the army, so I have time to think later, and b) I was assuming that I would join the army in the end (even though I think it's likely at the moment).

Oh, and I was assuming that I wouldn't die, but you know... Despite what I said earlier, you should have some plans, because the likelihood of tommorow coming is pretty high.

I find it a little odd that we are never an occurance in your dreams, considering how much thought and time you've put into this cadre.

Frankly, I only have dreams once or twice a month. ("you probably just don't remember them""BULLSHIT!")
Although I have theories for why this is, most are farfetched or egotistical. but w/e. . . .

Your dream/interpretation ignores three things: 1) AMERICANS VOTE FOR WAR HEROES!

2) You don't believe anyone cares about you, except for Mishayla should you two end up together. Besides, do you really think that I won't find some way to your funeral?

3) You are determined to fail in one of your endeavors. Or, more accurately, you desperately need a morale boost, because this long lack of it has taken its toll and become part of you. Try finding some new paths in life to take, because there are never only two. I you don't see one, make one, be it through a wall, the woods, or under your feet.

TBH: I hate not knowing what tomorrow brings, it makes me feel rather powerless over my future.

(No one hit it off on how I expect too much of myself or that I always try to be the best at everything I do? Hm. :|   )

Anyone else find it funny that the dreams of the emo, overly mature kid (sarcasm on both) somehow manage to be the lifeblood of the Forums?

(No one hit it off on how I expect too much of myself or that I always try to be the best at everything I do? Hm. ) Because that is a great mentality. However always remeber to take breaks.
