Novalith Cannon Radiation

Hey!

I recently got Sins and I fired up the good ol' fashion novalith cannon at a asteriod.

So I go there, and to my horror, the asteriod has a artifact, but the radiation has made it so I can't colonise it!

So, if the radiation does wear off, how long?

yes it does, cant remember duration (something like 3 minutes or something)

radiation wears off, takes an age, just leave a colony ship parked next to the asteriod with autocast colonise.

If you're playing on Entrenchment/Diplomacy, you'll also have to deal with the asteroid having 40% less maximum population (this is also temporary, but takes a lot longer to wear off).

By the time you have Novalith, tax income should make up less than a fifth of your total wealth, so it's really not a big deal unless it strikes a fully-populated terran (your homeworld, for instance).  The radiation clears after like 8 minutes and the planet will be habitable again.  Typically you don't fire the Novalith at planets you are about to capture, instead focusing on planets that are behind enemy lines.
