Nice map, quite some planets in one system (realistic?)
Most multiplayer gamers like single-system maps, so we end up hand-waving it in all larger games.
This the same one that's in the compilation, or an updated version, DS?
I'm guessing it's in the compilation; it's been out for a while.
Suggestion: In maps like this where there is ample opportunity for unmolested eco spots (since these are fixed position team maps with each team across from each other and no suicide spots), what about adding a worm hole on the other side of 2 equidistant pirate bases deep in each side? In other words, have the worm holes at the end of long single phase lanes from the star, and Pirate bases between the star and worm hole. This would add another mid-late game element of strategic importance because although small fleets probably won't attempt to venture through on interdiction raids, even more sizeable fleets would still have to wade through the static pirates, and retrun/retreats would be just as costly. I realize that static pirates are no match for a doomsday fleet, but they still present a formidable obsticle that would deter using the wormholes earlier. Of course this would necessite inactive pirate settings, but it would present a tactical defensive node for a choke, like for an allied starbase cluster in order to protect the eco spot.
