Is it impossible to host a internet game without going through Ironclad? No offense Ironclad but when its lagging or not working like tonight then players like me are tough out of luck. Why can't I host a game online? Why do I have to use Ironclad if it's not going to work properly?
Or use like...... Gameranger. i dont know if lots of people play there though
I'm not talking about LAN games, even some routers support internet LAN games. Just get tired of Ironclad lagging or not even working which prevents from playing with friends. Guess I should just fork up the money for a VPN Router so I don't have to worry bout Ironclad unless I want some fresh meat.
are you familiar with a program called Hamachi?
basicly it allows u to play games over the internet via the games LAN-option (direct-connet, everyone that wants to play needs to have hamachi)
only reccomendable for friend-matches
also not sure if it works with Sins, i have never tried it on sins itself, as ICO has been good to me lately
if your having router issues there are some topics about routers on this forum, most of them (if not all) written by The Monk (the guy's a genius)
Hamachi works with sins and there are hamachi dedicated web-sites where u can find hamachi "hosted" games with names of "rooms" and passwords for them. I don't use hamachi myself anymore and I don't remember exactly how it works but if u get name of the room and pass it's fairly easy.
Some of the mods like 7DS are played trough hamachi I'm certain of that.
Any chance of banning this guy for his implicit advocacy of and support of Sins piracy? Should he be banned before he spams any more threads with this crap?
He's spammed several other old threads with that same link already....
Funny thing is, his Hamachi network doesn't seem very populated. He has no idea how much 4v4 and 5v5 action he's missing on Diplomacy. If only he would purchase the game and its expansions...
