Distant Stars

a simple mod that adds tons to the gameplay without going out of the realm of Sins Lore

though we still haven't updated for vanillia yet

I don't think any mod is "by far the most complete". They all have different goals and audiences, and which one you like the best will largely depend on your tastes. Some of them are meant to change highly specific aspects of the game (Volumetric Explosions and Effects or Sins plus for example) and others try to do a little bit of everything. Several of the latter also integrate other mods into their work, especially the big ones like Distant Stars and the total conversion mods.

So, the question becomes, what do you want from a mod?

Ah, I am looking for more cap ships, TEC's POV.  Maybe one that lets me be a turtle (base defender)

I will look at Distant Stars and thank you for your replies.

Im a bit bias. But GoaFan77 does makes some great points. Its all about what your looking for. I dont think there is any mods that add new ships types to the current factions.

As far as I know there are very few mods that are up to date that are not conversions or added a new race.

Mad Scientist (though Im not 100% sure if its up to date)

Distant Stars (my personal favorite ;) )

Volumetic Explosions

Dynamic Battle Movement

Bailknights Graphic Mod

Celestial Bodies (not sure if its up to date)

Sins Plus (not sure if it up to date)

Most other races are eithe total converstions or add races to the orginial 3.

In DS i installed it enabled it, didnt see anything new for the first 2 minutes except the maps.  new cap ships frigates? buildings? tech tree?

Maybe I did something wrong?

Like what was said. It depends on what you are looking for in a mod.

If you are looking for just Vanilla sins enhancements (eye candy) then Manshooters Volumetric Explosions, Dynamic Movement. and Bailknights graphic mods.

If its Vanilla sins stat changes then Distant Stars.

If its other genres like Star Wars, Star Trek, B5, Stargate, etc. etc. We got it all here in various stages of completion.

Just depends on what you are into.

@mikefacciola- go to the DS thread and give us checksum numbers and anything else that you can think of, that way we can better diagnos the issue

7 Deadly Sins is the best mod for Entrenchment! It just isn't out yet...

The best that is out is SOA2.
End of starwarswins's quote

haha alright, Ill give it a try when it surfaces, however the diplomacy pacts make a huge impact on my play.  yes I lock teams however just the little bit of extras given from the pacts alone make it worth it 100%

I've been using the Distant Stars mod , it has some good enhancements and is kept updated (great job guys)

Sacrifice of Angels 2 is a really good Star Trek mod, it's still a work in progress but is very playable (I can't wait to see the final product, kudos to these guys too).

The first mod I played was the Mad Scientist Mod.  It adds a lot of technology enhancements (not really any new techs just more levels).  The original creator is no longer keeping it current, but Harpo9999 has tools and instructions on how to update it.

I like all of the above mods and won't hesitate recomending any of them.
