Going forward, you can set Impulse to create an archive before the game updates so that you may roll back as needed in the future. To do this, click the blue button in the upper left of Impulse and choose 'Preferences'. Click 'Archive applications before updating' to have Impulse do this for you automatically. In the future, to roll back, click the blue button again and choose 'Restore archive'.
