odd crashing

ok i sent a email to IC support but wanted to post here incase they didnt get it/ cant figure it out.

i was playing diplomacy last night when all of a sudden my monitor lost the signal and my keyboard became unresponsive (couldnt toggle num lock etc) the only thing i could do was a hard reset. this happened the last time i play diplo too. this doesnt happen when i'm playing more demanding games like bfbc2, farcry2, crysis, company of heroes only sins (havent tryed with vanilla or entrenchment yet). any ideas, all temps are well in the green, all clocks are at stock, no new software i can think of

Just a couple of odd thoughts.

Try clearing your temporary files (disk clean up).

 

Also did this happeppen before you patched the game? I had some freezing problems after i updated my game.

 

Also, when ever you ask a technical question, be sure to post your system specs and operating system. Also note any new changes or installed programs that you have done recently.

i'll try cleaning the the temp files now and see

i'm not sure i didnt play 1.0 b/c i didnt have the time, but when some space opend up 1.01 was out so i patched up.

ya i know i ment to but forgot, they're up now.

i dont know if this would matter but i'm playing a mod i made when this happens, i'm going to try the plain game and see what happens but i dont think a mod could do this could it?

I wouldnt doubt that a mod could cause crashing though it shouldnt be a common problem.

 

You would think that it would happen a lot more often and that there would be more reports of that same mod causing problems. But the mod may be for entrenchment  or soase only, not Diplomacy.

clearing the temp files must of worked (played for 2.5 hours yesterday no prob) thanks, and the mod was made by me for diplo so its not widely used :ninja:   but i uploaded it so if anyone wants a challenge they can play it
