Start With All Research?

Greetings all.

I am playing the latest version of Entrenchment with the Sacrifice of Angels mod (the latest version.)

I would like to know if it is somehow possible to start a game with all sides having all research completed. I tried looking through the mods files but can't find where you can list starting research. I prefer to start a game in this state as it moves faster, and I'm using a large galaxy map.

I tried using the Developer exe but it never goes into a game more than 4 or 5 minutes before crashing. Does anyone have any ideas, or know of a mod that gives all research at the start of the game that I can look at and see how it's done?

 

As a final note, I do not play multiplayer games at all, only solo, so please no lectures on "cheating".

Have you tried using the Developer.exe without the mod? If it doesn't crash obviously it is a problem with the mod. If it crashes with standard entrenchment, it probably means something is wrong with either the developer or your computer (and I bet the thing that is causing the crash is the autosave feature if it is always about 5 minutes). Another random thing you could try is to reduce your graphics settings (memory problems are another cause of random crashes).

 

If you really want to skip the developer.exe, you really have no choice but to mod the mod. Sadly there is no "Starting Research" in Sins, all you can do is manually edit all the research files so that they require 1 lab, are free and have no research time. That way you only need to put up one of each lab and hit all the research buttons.

Ahh ok thank you for your response.

I am currently using a trainer that makes all research instant, I just hate having to hit all the buttons one at a time.

If that's the only option, no biggie, but I wanted to ask!

You can allow a player to have certain research modifiers in effect at the start by adding them to the starting ship supply research, but anything else does indeed require rewriting a lot of research files.
