Desync issues?

Hey, I know there have been some issues with desyncing in sins diplomacy, and I had my first run in with the issues today.  So my questions are, is there any way to fix a game once it has become desynced?  And what precautions should or can be taken to avoid this desyncing issues in future games?  Thanks guys!

If you load from one person's save file, then you will be playing with a synced game.  But chances are it will become unsynced again.

The only pattern I've ever been able to discern with regard to SINS desyncing is I've noticed it seems to happen less if the machines (hardware and connections) are as similar as possible.

Sorry I can't be of more substantial help...

Fix this please. We are playing on a LAN, only a 38 planet 2humans vs 3 virasious AI and pirates with 3x supply. Where about halfway threw the game right now. And its like we are playing two seperate games. We noticed the first issue when I told him his starbase was destroyed, and he said no it was not. I went and looked at his screen and he looked at mine. and they where off.

So I sent him my save files and we started again. But not even an hour later we where dysynced again. The lagg was also getting pretty bad. One interesting thing I found out. when I surrendered I looked at the map. The pirate bases where just full of units. Where talking a good 4 thousand units between 2 planets. they where all on the outside of the gravwell getting ready to warp (but not warping, just sitting there). I suspect what was happeing is I had placed several contracts to the pirates (I would pay them 40,000K credits to raid an enemies planet). My ally had done the same. And I suppose the vicious AI had done the same to us. This was spawning tons thousands of pirates. which was causing major lagg causing the dysync.

Its kinda sad becouse it was turning into a pretty cool game. I think I lost more capitalships in this one game then I have ever lost in all my other games combined.
