Needing help with bin files

Hello everyone, i'm new at the forums and i really want to mod my sins but when i open the GameInfo files i just get lots of unknow icons and the word BIN at the beginning of the file. I assume thats mean that the files its in some kind of bin format.

Oh, i forget to emntion that i cant get the harpos converting tool working please help!!!

I've downloaded the forge tools but i cant manage to make them work, please someone help me and please excuse my english =D

If you have your game up to date with the latest patch's, alot of the Forge tools files wont be compatable. Forge tools is for version 1.15 vanilla and 1.01 Entrenchment.

Harpo's "sinstextbinner" should work if you have installed it and are using it correctly. You should put a Quick reply message in the Post that he has for it and explain exactly where you have installed and what you are doing, to try and make it work.

my textbin gui WILL NOT convert files in the program files path. this is so that sins will continue to work without problems.

I have uploaded texted versions of my sins files here.

and as superzero0 stated the reference files in the forge tools are for a version of sins that can no longer be obtained AND DOES CAUSE minidumps when used with the later releases. this exact problem is WHY I wrote my text bin gui, and also one of the reasons that bcextreme wrote his conversion utility.

I also have other useful sins modding tools that I wrote in my modding utilities pack in the mod updater thread.
