Ironclad's Next Project

So, now that it has been about two months since Diplomacy's release, what's next for Ironclad Games?  So far you guys have been very tight-lipped about your future plans.  Are you planning to make a Sins-2?  Are you planning to release a full expansion for Sins?  Are you putting Sins on the shelf for a while or just dropping it altogether in favor of different projects?  Or are you guys still debating what to do next?

My suspicion is that Sins will be shelved for a while and that Ironclad will work on a land-based 4x-RTS, but that's just worthless conjecture on my part.  Personally, I'm hoping for a Sins-2 with a much improved online multiplayer component, but I'm not holding my breath.

I can just imagine a Total War style world map where you could zoom in to battlefield level.  You'd have territories instead of gravity wells, towns and villages instead of extractors, and big castle cities instead of planets.  That would be quite awesome.

Unfortunately, it's all conjecture.  Given IC's track record so far, though, I think we'll be happy with whatever is upcoming.

Hmm I wonder what happened to "Sins isn't done yet" that they seemed to indicate a while back. Oh well, they'll tell us for sure when they are ready.

I hope that they at least keep patching Sins until the major problems that the community finds are solved (ie the pathing issue, the useless techs, useless abilities, etc).

I would love a SoaSE 2.

I think useless techs can be good as to increase the games learning curve. Not all people go to the strategy forums and learn every trick or exploit until they have played multiple games and want to play on-line. The more options you have can make every game a different game.

This is far off I know but would love to see the melding of RTS with FPS. Imagine being in the flight seat of the strike-craft and taking out the engines of a cap ship (Freespace 2).

I was told that quite directly, but what that eventually translates into awaits to be seen.  In the meantime, I think branching off to something different but not too different is a good idea.  Besides, most people can walk and chew gum at the same time, nowadays ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing something like Lords of the Realm but completely real-time like Sins.
