How did this happen? Cuisinart sucked. Starting awhile back, culminating with the blender issue, and having their machines ass backwards as **** (Yes, I did quote the union, but it's true, I spent 8 hours one day trying to figure out how to use a Cuisinart 5 gallon ice cream maker), Cuisinart has become suck. And I liked the original salad spinner, I love my KitchenAid blender (I don't love the awful selection of frappe modes but whatever), and the Cuisinart one came in with a $199 price tag, and a horrible 2006 Senior Citizens Club presentation (BRIDDGE PLAYERS!) Although one quote made an excellent video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_MOrnS_UU )
Yeah, the Cuisinarts have good mixing performance, but for awhile that's all they had. That did really start to change in early 2008, but then Cuisinart is still Cuisinart. Taking away third-party accessory support (I have a Powerselect hand mixer, but I'm aware they can take away hand mixer features as well ), BC, and just plain being Cuisinart.
So how the hell am I loving my new kitchen? Well it isn't Cuisinart. After recently getting a Meat Grinder attachment, as well as the walmart deal (buy 2 get 1 attachments on recent greatest hits models like the Pasta Maker), when I get Food Processor, Citrus Juicer, and Nuclear Explosive Construction Mold for $60, I haven't had as much fun with KitchenAid exclusives. I also recently got a beater blade (received it today).
Also my brownie mix collection has reached 14, and I have a mixing bowl as well my hand mixer in my bedroom. That also helps...
Of course, my love for their appliances will depend on how long it is before Cuisinart pulls a Cuisinart...
