Particle disappearances

Hopefully someone can understand what I am talking about.

When there is a long stream of projectiles, lets say an autocannon, only the first projectile every five or so shots creates a hit effect. Does this happen to everyone else? Is this meant to happen?

Whereas a TEC laser, let's say a Krosov, every single projectile produces a hit effect.

I need to know if this applies to everyone, because my graphics mod uses several repeating hit effects to cover the fact that only the first projectile in a stream produces the hit effects. If this is only me, then I need to change some things, such as timings in particles.

List of weapons that do this:

Autocannons

ALL Plasma (Solanus included)

Plasma Waves

Pulse Guns

Disintegrators

Phase missiles (orky and vulkoras only)

 

For the lazy who did not want to read the above, I just wish to know if other people's computers did not display some hit effects for the above weapon types.

 

Also, I noticed that structure passive ability buff effects were still not displaying correctly. (mainly TEC shield gen)

Wasn't this addressed in a patch of Entrenchment? (1.03 or 1.04?)

ive had this problem too,i gave the kol missiles instead of the big beams,but only the first 3-4 missiles display a hit,but ships that already have missiles,say, a javelis lrm frigate launches like 10000000 missiles and they all display a hit

I have seen this too, but only with the Diplomacy-adjusted (or Entrenchment-adjusted which I modified to work with Diplo, not sure) Sins Plus, which includes some version of Bailknight's Graphic Mod. And then only with an Orkulus using the Karrastra attack effects (PhaseCapitalWaveLight). That is not to say it only happens with that, but it's the only time I've actually seen it and remembered (as it happens every time and in Bailknight's the effect is bright green)

 

One reason for this that I can think of is that the ship using the weapon uses more attachment points/more bursts than the original user, which could bug it up (My Orkulus is firing 2 bursts from 6+ attach points, where the Karrastra fires 3 bursts from a single hardpoint only)

Could this be possible? I don't know much about particle effects, but it would fit as I only see a single "hit" effect every few seconds with the Orkulus.

I've noticed it, but I haven't applied much effort to figuring out the cause yet.  if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it has something to do with the number of bursts per weapon discharge, as set in the ship entity file.  I'm betting that the hit effects only occur when damage is applied, which is once per weapon discharge regardless of the number of bursts.
