Very Simple Mod Request

Hi. I have a simple mod request. I would do it myself except I have no idea how and would probably damage something trying. I want Fleet Capacity, Cap Ships, Tactical Structures to be quadrupled for each level. So, at fleet level 1 there would be 400 capacity, 4 cap ships, etc. I would also like for 4 starbases for each planet. Thanks to whoever can make this for me. :)

EDIT: would it also be possible to make your first 4 cap ships (lvl 1 quantity) free instead of only 1?

starbase count & tac structure limits can not be altered in research to my knowledge, only in the planet entity's, the other items are doable, but the income increase would encorage turtleing so much that the game would not be enjoyable anymore.

Tactical Slots can be altered, though it's a flat slot increase (The research .entity file is called TACTICALSLOTINCREASE, and is used by the Advent)

 

Edit: Can you please post which version of sins (Basic/Entrenchment/Diplomacy) you are using? It's needed for anyone to be able to make the mod for you.

I am using Entrenchment v1.051. I agree with Harpo that the income increase would be undesirable after some thought. I think you can edit the individual planet entities to increase tactical slots and starbases, but I am not sure. I'm sorry for any ambiguity, but I ment for Tac Structure levels the planetary upgrade levels, not research.

EDIT: Could this be made for Distant Stars planets as well? Thanks!

ls612, yes EACH of the planet entity's can be altered  to increase the tacs & starbases, but in the case of starbases it is a firm limit( up to the count that you put in place) for that planet type, and also for the planet upgrades to the tac levels.

I think the free capship is hardcoded, though there might be an option to make even the first one cost full price in the map file.

I suggest you don't increase ship numbers, if anything reduce upkeep as 1000+ ships per player will cause lag/crash the game.
