A question.

I've asked these sort of questions before mostly because i have 1-2 friends whom want to play with me but are often on the fence.

My friend whom lives only afew minutes away from me would like to be able to play sins with me he doesn't want to buy it yet because he hasn't played it. So would it be alright if i was to allow him to download a copy off of my stardock account with the only purpose being to try it out with me for 1-2 games?

I ask because i do not want to do something wrong and i don't want to be cheating ironclad games nor stardock but i do want to play with my friend.

"Edit" I hope this isn't in the wrong category if it is please tell me and i'll remove the post.

You are allowed to host network games with a single copy.  I myself have multiple computers installed with Sins for LAN games.  So long as your friend doesn't take the game home with him, you're in the clear.

I let 7 different friends of mine play Sins on my account (some of them I actually just let borrow my laptop for a day)...all 7 of them now bought the game because they enjoyed playing it so much....and all of them bought trinity...

Was it perfectly legal?  I don't know, nor do I care...I now have 7 friends to play this game with, and Stardock just sold Trinity to 7 different people because I let them play my game...win win situation for everyone!

Letting someone else play the game is definitely the way to go if you'd like to convince them to buy it...please make sure they actually buy it of course, but there is no harm in letting them use your account to determine if it's worth buying or not...

unless it has changed........the license allows you to install SINS on two (2) computers simultaneously as long as you own both of those systems.

End of quote

Allowed as in it will work?

Yes, it will work....you can have an unlimited number of copies of your game installed...impulse will not prevent you from installing the game on any computer even if you use the same account over and over...you can have multiple instances of the same account play with each other even in multiplayer...

Allowed as in is it legal?

Monk may be right about the two copies, I'm not entirely certain...it was my understanding that the license allowed one copy of Sins can be installed to infinite computers (you may or may not be required to own them, I don't know)...the license allows this under the condition that only ONE of those copies is being used at any time...
