Galaxy Map - FOG

Ok does anyone know of anyway possible to remove fog of war in SINS:ENT ? I would prefer not to see whats happening on planets but would like the ability to see every planet in the galaxy. This would come in very handy for my 800+ planet star wars map (not yet complete) as I beleive all the planets would be known to the main factions. like I said I would prefer not to see what was happening on each planet but i would like to be able to find every planet in the galaxy. I did find one line in the player*name*.entity file but it doesnt seem to do anything removing the line.

 

One more thing, a seperate question but how many is the maximum different type each race can have of the following: Frigates, Cruisers, Capital Ships ? ie is frigates/cruisers 7 of each ?

hmmm the fog of war/ planet wise i do not know of anything like that. ( builds 100 scout, put on auto explore = WIN lol ) and the i think the max of number of different ships is 7 or is it 9 hmmmm.

Make something with a mod that dies shortly after it is spawned.

Add it to the GalaxyScenarioDef for your mod.

Make a copy of Galaxy Forge.

Copy your mods GalaxyScenarioDef over the GalaxyScenarioDef in the copy of Galaxy Forge.

Make a galaxy template in Galaxy Forge that spawns one of these death after spawn items for each player.

Add the template to every planet in your map.

The FOW issue can not be resolved. It has been looked into a few times. It is a hard coded issue. The only way to resolve that issue is to have some modded ability, building, or ship (that dies out) in the gravity well to see everything. This works great if you are looking to do a single player map, otherwise it will be a headache.

 

Also, there is a limit on the number of phase lanes that can be supported, not exactly sure where that is listed as I can't find the thread with the search feature. :-(
