I'm piecing together a mod of my own using bits and pieces from various other mods. However, due to my limited coding skills, I'm using the new files under the file names of the original files (CapitalShip_TechBattleship, for example). I've got them all in game, and that's fine. However, I wish to change their weapons and abilities, but whenever I place a '.entity' file (specifically CAPITALSHIP_TECHBATTLESHIP, etc) in the GameInfo folder, it causes the game to MiniDump before I've even started.
This is a really big problem in the road to getting my mod sorted - without being able to get these files to work, I won't be able to change the sounds, weapons, abilities or stats of any of my ships, effectively just making the mod a superficial one.
Any advice?
