Remnant Forces

Everyone knows about those gray colored little fleets and bases located around planets at the beginning of games. There are at least a siege frigate, some anti fighter/bombers, and a long range attacker or two at most of the neutral planets. Some times they have a whole base left over ready for you to easily smash them. Don't get me wrong I love to hate these leaderless losers but my question is

why only TEC? Why cant the battered left overs be Advent or Vasari?

Sure the TEC were most unprepared for the war but that doesn't mean they didn't cause casualties as well.

I know its not a very "important" thing to change but I think having different races of remnant forces would fortify the idea that this war is still a big stalemate.

Any thoughts?

I thought the idea was that the TEC was the economic power house of Sins and thus were the only ones who built ships for other clients. And yes, many mods do change this.

true but couldn't other race's populations rebel or get excommunicated or something from the unity?

Probably but I just thought it was their justification. I agree with you, that is just where I think the Devs were coming from.

Maybe frontier elements of the Trade Order refused to surrender their soveriegnty, which would give them an exclusive reason to be independent.
