Issues with trying to run Solar Empire on a virtual machine

I saw this game released two years ago, and knew my mac wouldn't support VMfusion and windows to run this game.

I have updated to a quad processing Imac with 4gb of ram. I installed VM fusion, and then windows 7. I then installed Sinds of a Solar empire, click to open it after installing and nothing happens. I had to manually open up the file, and open the launcher to see the options to "play game" or "update game". I updated the game after registering it, and it still will not open on my virtual machine running windows 7.

What could I be doing wrong? This is literally the first software I installed on my virtual machine. I googled Vmfusion and this game and read other users doing this with no problems.

VM fusion do not use hardware acceleration (if i remember) which can be the cause of your problem. Are you sure that other people don't use a dual boot instead of VM ware solution like you.
