Planet Addon Mods

Hey, I'm new to Sins modding, are there any mods that only addon Planets and bonuses like Sins Plus that is up to date with version 1.191 of vanilla sins? If not is there a way to update the older versions to become compatible to 1.191?

harpo99999 has tools that update mods for you

after that, that particular mod has only been kept up to date as part of the Distant Stars mod

Only is misleading; many mods include Sins Plus in them, but it is no longer in development on its own. I know someone had a link to an updated version of just Sins plus at the end of the Sins plus thread, but I think it was for Diplomacy only.

Here is a good Vanilla mod that you should check out sometime, and it adds many unique planets that even Sins plus doesnt have.

I love the extra planets that maelstrom has. I have been attempting to add some of them to DS for my own use no luck so far though. The binary and ancient planets especially are amazing. The DS team really should ask if they add some of them (at least those two) to their mod. At the very least they could replace the models for the relic planet for example with that from maelstrom's ancient one.

Which planets does Maelstrom have, I have some custom map that i designed and when I use maelstrom the phase lanes are gone.  The mod does not recognize the planets I'm using.  Galaxy Forge doesn't state what mods use the planets on the list.  Any other info would help.

End of walkercubed's quote

If you copy and paste the GalaxySenarioDef file from Maelstrom to your GalaxyForge folder you'll see the planet types it supports. I don't think it supports (at least all of) Sins plus though if that is what you used.

Thank you for the information and quick reply.

Is it possible to use the text bin converter (in the forum) to merge these two files so that the mod recognizes all planets?

If so how?

walkercubed, the textbin GUI IS NOT a merge files utility, it is ONLY to run the convertdata's to convert the mesh, entity, brush & particle files between text(editable) and bin(faster loading and less ram used.

to merge two galaxyscenariodef's you could use notepad++, and it also will allow you to compare the two files.
