Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old!  ;P

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom *_*

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

For now though, post away, and everyone is welcome! :)

Nope. Well, some of them try (Farsight Enclaves), but the mainstream Tau still actively encourage co-operation between the two factions. However, assimilation may be considered a bad alternative to the Imperium, especially when they could just gather the entire Black Templars chapter and wipe the Tau off the face of the universe whenever it suited them.

Still, your average guy on the street seems not to be averse to joining the Tau, seeing as they promise relative freedom, self-governance, and finally there's less chance that they'll swoop by and exterminatus your planet for teh lols.

No. But that's because the Tau Empire is the wart on the galaxy's backside. You see, the Tau Empire in 'current' 40K is no larger than a sector of Imperial territory.

A. SINGLE. SECTOR.

The Tau might have some fancy tech, and that whole "Greater Good" shtick, but they are small nuggets on the scale of the 40K galaxy as a whole.

That being said, the Tau ending of DoW:Dark Crusade does mention that the Tau sterilized the remaining humans on Kronus- which means that in a few generations only the Tau and their alien allies would have been left. Not quite extermination- but certainly close to it.

Just try to look at it from my perspective, I say something odd and then the chatroom explodes...

You "raging" at people, Twilight being his usual laid-back self, Oatesy participating in a discussion and then leaving it, CmdrNilles hovering around, kingbarton asking for porn, it's pretty funny...

I ended the Christianity debate because it was clearly going nowhere (Whiskey being very traditional, me being very universalist), and was kind of limited to just me and Whiskey. Alienation is bad.
