Hi,

 

On monday i will get Trinity. I only buy it because of the awesome mods for this game! Unfortunately my version is the german one but most mods like Sacrifice of Angels or Stargate Invasion are in english. I dont know whats the point with those string files. In the mod folder there are only the english string files and i cant play the mods with my german version. 

How do i make this work? How can i play Stargate Invasion and Sacrifice of Angels with the german version? Do i need special files? If so, where do i get them or what do i have to change to make the english mods work for my german version? 

I really hope you guys can help me with my problem

The string files merely tell you what is what and how it operates. You could translate them but as far as I know it shouldn't affect the overall operation of the game.

I want to play in english. That would be nice. I want to enjoy the full mod (SoA 2 and SGI). There should not be displayed "STRING NOT FOUND" or something like that. Is this possible? I have original english and german string files saved at my computer - i only mention it. Maybe it can help to solve my problem.

As far as I know that is the way the game can be transferred back and forth between languages for those that can't read English. I do know that each mod can have its own string file which will override the game's original so I don't believe you should have any issues. Give it a try and see.

Your game is looking for String\german.str and most mods only include a english.str. Try making a copy of the english.str and rename it german.str or what ever file your game is using found in the games root String\ directory. Mods only can replace files used by the game engine and your german version is not even loading the mods english.str so having a copy of the string file will load the mods german.str but will be english text in game.`
