Mod for entrenchment

Hey, I play sins fairly regularly in SP and LAN with some friends of mine. Recently the others finally got the entrenchment mod, and the vasari among them were surprised that you now have to pay for returning armada. As a TEC player primarily, I didn't notice this, or even when it was implemented into the original game. We were wondering how you would go about modding the phase gate ability so it no longer requires credits/metal/crystal to use the dark fleet. Any help would be appreciated :)

just download the latest files in TXT (they are around here somewhere on the forum lines, look for myfist0 ) or use a converter and then set the cost for that ability to 0.0

yes, I believe harpo999999 has one

the game files that we have access to are set in binary in order for the game to load faster (2 seconds vs 5 seconds at the very beginning and no where else, whatever) so if you pull up the game files in notepad they would be unreadable

a converter converts the files from binary to text to make it readable

Don't you just get tired of doing that myfist0 someone needs to add Current Reference files to a sticky or something or better yet just sticky the weebly :grin:

Normally I'd agree, but since they seem to lose anyways, this might make the game take a little bit longer than normal.

Also, I can't find the returning armada ability in the files, can someone direct me to it?

You can try contacting kyro but it is probably a waste of time. This is the worst moderated forum I have ever seen and the stickys have not been updated in years. 

Along with the out-of-date reference files and the wrong location for GF maps its obvious that once SD gets your money that is it.

Thanks everyone, I think I got returning armada to work right, though it still takes 1 credit/metal/crystal, I don't really think the vasari players can complain about that. If 0 cost I get a CTD.
