Well, it looks like you have a decent setup, but random crashes with mods usually means you have your graphics settings too high. Even if you aren't using any it can't hurt to try.
Widows 7 uses a lot of ram. Not sure ghow much but your 2 gigs is probably good for 7 alone.
2 gig is too low. Half of that is being used by the operating system as myfist pointed out. Add more ram, atleast 2 more gig.
Oh wow, I did not see that 2GB. Random crashes are almost due to running out of RAM, but after 4GB or so it doesn't really help to add anymore. Turning down the graphics details will still work if you can't afford an upgrade, but adding some more RAM will allow you to play on higher settings.
ok i have the same problems but i have
i7-core 2.8Ghz
8 Gigs of ddr3 ram
2 NIVIDIA GeForce 250 sli
do i still need to lower my graphics settings?
I would try it as a diagnostic tool. If the crashes stop or take longer to occur on lower graphics, that is a very good indicator that it is a RAM related problem (though you clearly don't need anymore, there are other things that can cause you to run out of RAM early). If not, well then we'll ask you more questions lol.
