Hello everyone. Since I'm going on holydays to an area without internet (yes, those exist!) I wanted to bring some games along that could be played on LAN. Of course Sins: Trinity is one of those.
Now the question is: Do all of my friends also need copies (=individually buy the game, as in Diablo 2) or could we just use the same Serial number for all participants? (Like C&C Generals)
Thanks for your answer.
well, I know for a fact that 2 people can play 1 on 1 with the same serial... AND that 3 people CANT play with the same serial.
I dont know if, say, you can use 5 serials for 10 people.
Hm, thats too bad, we would eventually be 3-4 players.
What about playing 2vs2 (I and a friend against 2 AIs?).
Well, thanks anyway, there should be enough time left for me to buy a second copy of the game ^^
2 hummies vs any ammount of ais... or you and some ai's vs your friend and some ai will work fine.
Note that your game is not really "Sins Trinity". Trinity is merely a way of saying "Sins Collection". What you really have is the original Sins, the Entrenchment expansion, and the Diplomacy expansion.
Even then, I don't think it's too expensive to get two copies for 4 people if you think you're likely to play often. My brother and I each have copies and we run 2-4 people all the time. Well... doing more RPG right now, but you get the idea.
We permit two LAN seats per license (if the second is not your machine, make sure to remove it afterward). If you wish to have more than two human players, we ask that you purchase additional licenses to cover the rest.
I never expected to get a response from an offical source. So the rumors about Stardock and their support are true then. Huh, I guess you lern something new every day.
Well, off to buy more licenses.
And thanks again for the responses, I think this could be closed.
