Race Logos Request

My modding abilities are limited, to say the least. As such, I'd like to request for someone to piece together a race logos mod. Quite simply, I'd like for them to replace all the default logos with logos from popular sci-fi shows and games. For example, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Star Wars, Mass Effect, etc.

The images that I'd like to see included I can provide, but getting them to function as race logos baffles me - the whole layer thing is just awkward, and I have yet to find a tutorial that is of any value.

Would anyone be interested and/or capable?

Here is almost all the Star Trek loge I did for SOA2. RaceLogos.dds

Edit all channel same time using between white, grey and black (no colour) or greyscale. Then shrink them down to fit over the smaller and smaller ones.

I'm a little confused by that - it just seems like a strange amalgum of overlapping logos.

And MyFist0 - that's the one I tried using, but the lack of a tutorial meant I could only make the logo white when I painted it as such, and then it was white on all layers.. v_v

Do you have pics of the logos you want?

Logos are basically all white with some grey for shading, this turns to whatever colour the team is.

The simplest way to start would be to copy a logo from a picture to the RaceLogos and resize it to fit with the rest. Then use Gimps Grey scale and test it out in game. Say your teams icons were red, the white from the logo would turn red in-game with the darker greys turning to darker red.

Huh? How so? Works fine for me, did you remove the DDS version of the racelogos file before you added it. Sins prefers the DDS format over TGA so it will naturally choose that file over the other.

I was looking at it through the file you posted - .dds only, viewed in a .dds capable viewer.

Thats odd, sorry about that. do they work in game?

Probably not using transparent background. There are 1000s of gimp tutorials. Learn how to either erase your background or crop your image and place it on a transparent background. Then learn resizing.

The images I'm using have transparent backgrounds, yes. Resizing I've got down, also.

And yes, ViperVenom117 - your icons actually work perfectly in-game - props to you :-).
